As per the stats from Credit Suisse Global wealth databook 2016 report, a total of 3.5 billion individuals – 73% of all adults in the world – have wealth
below USD 10,000 (i.e less than Rs 6,80,000 approx) in 2016. A further 900 million adults (19% of the global population) fall in the USD 10,000–100,000 range. And 365 million adults (7.5% of the global population) fall in the USD 10,0000–1,000,000 range. Only 33 million adults (just 0.7% of the global population) fall in the wealth category greater than 1 million dollars.
United States, China, United Kingdom, Germany,Switzerland contributes to Most of the High net worth individuals. More importantly next to United States, China stands tall on the Ultra HNI list.
India Wealth Distribution Relative to the World
Relatively 96% of the Indians wealth falls under the bottom of the pyramid i.e 96% of Indian adults hold wealth less than 10,000 USD. Mean wealth in India stands at 3,835 USD
